Tyron is a dangerous T20 player. His batting strike rate is over 140 at a useful average of around 20 - hence his nickname "the Blacksmith". He is also a more than capable bowler with economy rates in the shorter version of the game of less than 5 (50 over) and 7 (T20).

As well as respresenting South Africa in T20 cricket, Tyron has also played for several South African franchises (currently at the Cape Cobras) as well as Middlesex and Kent in England.
